What is the En'Kara Fair & when is it?

The En'Kara Fair is one of four huge trade fairs that are held quarterly in the shadow of the Sardar Mountain Range. Each young person of Gor is expected to make a pilgrimage to the foot of the Sardar Mountains before he or she reaches their 25th birthday. This year's fair starts with the excitement of voyaging to the fair, traveling along the Road to the Fair anytime from March 10th - March 14th, and arriving just in time for the opening ceremony on March 14th at 4pm. Throughout the week we'll be hosting a variety of events representing all the various aspects of our culture.

What is the Road to the Fair?

The road to the fair is our depiction of the hazards and risks of traveling to the fair. We have built a 3 sim wide area traveling from docks on the river near the Last Stop Inn up through hills and into the Sardar Mountains. As depicted in the books, there are dangers to be found along the road as outlaws, panthers, and even warriors seek to capture unsuspecting travelers. In the books, men were killed and women enslaved to be sold at the fair. In our depiction of the road to the fair, no one will be killed, but both men and women can be captured and potentially sold at auction at the fair or kept by their captors. If you want to bypass the dangers of the road, you will be able to travel directly to the fair as of the evening of the 14th, however, those who embrace the danger may travel the road alone or with their cities or groups and hope for the best starting the 10th.

Combat at the Fair?

Per the books, there was no violence or combat within the fairgrounds. We are abiding by this same principle. The fair itself is a no-capture, no-combat zone. This does not apply to the Road to the Fair.

What are the Combat Rules on the Road to the Fair?

1. The Basics
• The ZCS meter must be worn at all times.
• Adult avatars only.
• You must be 18+ in real life to RP here.
• Do not rez large amounts of prims without permission first (ships, houses, etc.).
• You may utilize existing campsites or rez a tent for yourself but all prims you rez must be picked up upon departing. Abandoned

prims will be returned.
• Observe Covenant and LL's terms of service.
• Gorean clothing only on the Road to the Fair.
• Animal avatars welcome. Interactions must be appropriate to the type of animal. IE: No talking larls, or tap-dancing tharlarions.
• Outlaws, panthers, pirates, and other unsavory characters welcome. Female outlaws permitted.

2. Combat
• Roleplay a warning of an attack before initiating meter combat (for those in combat mode).
• Set Meter to Combat if open to Meter Combat
• Set Meter to Roleplay for only Dice/Roleplay Combat
• Meter Combat Ratio as close to 1:1 as possible.
• Depart Combat with a post from:
• Docks
• Arriving at Fairgrounds
• Bandaging - NO POST
• Aiding - NO POST
• Disarming - 1 POST per weapon
• Binding - 3 POSTS, name target, does not include disarming
• Stealing - 1 POST after binding
• Unbinding - Self - 25 mins, 3 POSTS
• Unbinding - Others - 1 POST

3. Weapons
• 1 melee, 1 ranged
• No quick-switching
• Realistic Weapons Only - No stuffed animals, etc.
• Free men - any approved ZCS-compatible weapon
• Free women/Panthers/Female Outlaws - any approved ZCS-compatible weapon except swords, great axes, axes, or klaives/glaives.

(Max sword damage)
• Slaves - any approved ZCS-compatible weapon set to slave damage. No swords, great axes, spears/polearms, axes, klaives/glaives,

bows, or crossbows. Ranged slave damage weapons allowed such as rocks. (Not arrow damage)
• Animals - claws or other animal-appropriate combat, no hand-held weapons such as swords, spears, bows, or other 'intended for

human' weapons.

How many prims can I use?

If you've reserved a tent/campsite for your group, you get 50 prims per spot.

If you are setting up a stall in the in-character are, you get 20 prims per stall. Limit 2 stalls per person.

If you are setting up a G&S Market stall, you get 30 prims per stall. Limit 2 stalls per person.

If you are setting up an OOC Store, you get 20 prims for Bronze level, 50 prims for Silver level, and 100 prims for Gold level.

If you are setting up a radio station camp, you get 100 prims.

If you are setting up an activity or event, speak to Feather (Alarica Lutrova) regarding prim limits.

How do I get to...?

Click the teleport link in the top right corner of this website for a teleport to the landing zone. From there you can navigate to all other parts of the fair.

Is the fair IC/OOC... Both?

The fair is a blend of all things Gorean from IC to OOC and everything in-between. Roleplay is encouraged. It's a great opportunity to connect with others from around gor and start storylines. It is a celebration of all that we have in common, no matter how you play your gor. IC, OOC, Lifestyle, GE, or BtB - the fair is a place to attend events, learn about gor, roleplay, trade, and have fun.

Attire at the Fair?

The fair is one of the most complex events of the gorean community. We represent Lifestylers, GE, and BTB and events are IC and OOC. So there is no clear line where best to define the rules of attire - therefor -

Panthers can be in disguise - do NOT have to be.
No dragons, orcs, pixies, or creatures that are neither gorean nor normal earth attire.
OOC attire is permitted, but gorean is preferred.
Be reasonable.
